It’s not too hard to tell which guns are better than others in Vampire Survivors. You can choose one of these.
It’s a 2D reverse bullet hell shoot ’em up with aspects of run-and-gun and roguelike games. This addicting game came out for PC on December 17, 2021, with little fanfare (early access). Since then, it has become more famous among gamers. In this game, there are only two stages right now: Mad Forest and Inlaid Library. Players have 30 minutes to make it through each one.
In Vampire Survivors, you can pick from a lot of different weapons as you play through a game. While all of these guns are pretty even, there are some that are clearly better than others. Layout-wise, the two stages are different. A certain tool might be more useful in the Mad Forest than in the Inlaid Library. Some guns can also evolve into stronger ones if you have the right accessory with you. The developed weapons will be added to the base weapon’s entry and will change how well the base weapon ranks. Now that that’s out of the way, here is a list of the best guns in Vampire Survivors.
Garlic
With the Garlic weapon, the character forms a shield around themselves that hurts enemies who cross it. As long as enemies stay inside the barrier, this tool will keep hurting them. The first ten minutes of a stage are great with this weapon. After that, the Garlic’s low damage starts to fall behind the enemies’ growing strength.
The Garlic weapon has grown into the Soul Eater. This one has a bigger range and takes away life, but when it hits an enemy, it heals the character. In Vampire Survivors, there are a few Arcanas that make Garlic a better tool. When used with the Crimson Shroud (evolved Laurel), the character can easily last for 31 minutes.
Knife
When Vampire Survivors was new, it had a few stages that all had a large, what looked like an endless library with only a few hurdles here and there. The good news is that things have changed a lot for the better if this is how the show was remembered.
Now there are several stages with tight passageways that the player has to get through. When things like this happen, the knife is the best defense. Not many foes can handle this weapon for more than a couple of seconds when it is fully leveled up and evolved.
Clock Lancet
If you hit an enemy with the Clock Lancet, it will freeze them in place for a short time. From time to time, this weapon fires a light ray of average length. When not in use, this ray moves clockwise and stops all enemies in its path.
The Clock Lancet does one thing well: it stops enemies for a short time. But it stops Death in its tracks too. In fact, the player needs the Clock Lancet in order to beat Death. When used together in a small space, the Clock Lancet and weapons like the Runetracer, Bone, and La Borra may dispatch Death. It only needs time and luck.
The Infinite Corridor can now be made from the Clock Lancet. This works like the Clock Lancet, but every so often it cuts an enemy’s life in half.
Fire Wand
One good thing about the Fire Wand is that it does more damage than any other common weapon except the Axe, which only does 20 damage. One problem with the Fire Wand is that its bullets shoot off in any direction. Also, the weapons move very slowly. It is normal for the enemy being attacked to move around the fireballs.
Hellfire is the evolved form of the shoot Wand. It can shoot projectiles that can go through things. As the Hellfire’s bullets fly across the screen, they destroy any enemies that get in their way, kind of like a lawnmower. When you put this tool together with the Candelabrador and the Duplicator, it works better.
Axe
The Axe lets the player character throw axes in a high range. As the Axe’s level goes up, it does more damage, throws more axes, and can go through more enemies before disappearing. Early on, it’s a slow and awkward tool that doesn’t move very far horizontally, and that’s still the case at level eight.
If it weren’t for its developed form, the Death Spiral, this weapon wouldn’t be one of the best for Vampire Survivors. The Death Spiral is a very strong weapon that hurts enemies by sending out a wave of spinning scythes in all directions. For the Axe to grow, it needs the Candelabrador accessory.
Glass Fandango
She-Moon’s first weapon is the Glass Fandango. This is a directional weapon, like the Dagger. The projectiles from this weapon go in the direction the character is looking. When Glass Fandango is turned on, the projectiles will circle the figure if they are still.
Celestial Voulge is Glass Fandango’s evolved form, but it works the same way as the lower form. With Glass Fandango, use passive items that give you more area and shorter cooldowns, as well as weapons that hit at the edge of the screen, like the Bracelet and Four Seasons.
Magic Wand
When this weapon is used, it fires magic missiles at the nearest enemy. These missiles do some damage. As you level up, the Magic Wand gains more magic rockets, the ability to pierce, and a shorter cooldown. This weapon is good at the beginning of a stage but stops being useful after 18 minutes. It then changes into one of the best weapons in Vampire Survivors.
You can change the Magic Wand into the Holy Wand if you have the Empty Tome item. This gun doesn’t have a cooldown, so it keeps firing. The Holy Wand can be used as a rapid-fire shotgun if the character also has the Duplicator device.
Cross
People who play video games will know the Cross weapon right away because it looks a lot like the Cross weapon in the first Castlevania games. When you throw this weapon, it makes spinning crosses that go back and forth across the battlefield once. These crosses do a lot of damage and can go through enemies while doing so. This weapon is great for making a way.
If the character has the Clover item, the Cross changes into the Heaven Sword. A big sword that boomerangs back to you can be sent out by the Heaven Sword. It’s possibly the least powerful of the evolved weapons, but it’s still very good.
Carrello
People who play Ramba start out with this cool tool, which can be used in a cool way. Mine carts are used as weapons by the Carrello. These carts move from left to right and hit things and the screen’s edge. The carts get bigger and move faster as the Carrello level up. The character’s Amount changes how many bounces each cart gets.
The player can make a wall of carts to walk behind if they can get their figure to move at the same speed as the carts. This lets the player keep going in the same way until about minute 24. After that, the enemies will probably be too big for the carts to get through.
Shadow Pinion
In the game, the Shadow Pinion was given to Concetta as her first weapon. It looks like Shadow Pinion leaves a trail of spinning drill heads behind the player. The drills are shown in the direction the character was going in when the player stops moving.
This weapon is great for controlling crowds and zoning because it deals a lot of damage in any direction the player chooses. Valkyrie Turner, the evolved form of Shadow Pinion, works the same way but leaves a line of fire instead of drill heads.
Report!
This gun is part of the Emergency Meeting DLC, which added 16 new guns and other cool stuff to the game. Report sends an energy wave to the character’s right or left. The direction of the wave depends on which way the character is looking when the weapon fires. This weapon can’t shoot projectiles up or down.
The energy wave’s knockback effect and the weapon’s impact both get better as it gets stronger. It’s only Beginning that works well with Report. If the player has the Mini Crewmate passive item, Report changes into Emergency Meeting. When this item is used, it dispatches all enemies of a random type.
Bracelet
You can use the Bracelet with other weapons to make them more powerful, but it can also get you to the end of a game by itself. This gun fires a shot that spreads out. When the Bracelet’s level goes up, its projectiles go farther and can hit more than one enemy.
The Bi-Bracelet can be made from this weapon without a passive item. That’s all it takes to open a prize chest: get the level to max. The Bracelet changes twice. After the second evolution, the Tri-Bracelet, it starts to leave an effect at the edge of the screen that few enemies can get through.
Mille Bolle Blu
Mille Bolle Blus is one of the best weapons in the game for zoning because it shoots bubbles that go a short distance and then freeze in the air for a few seconds. You can only get it through the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC. There are stages with wide aisles and stages with narrow paths where this method works well.
If the player gets the Spellbinder, the Mille Bolle Blu can change into the Boo Roo Boolle. Putting the Mille Bolle Blu and the King Bible together is a good way to use passive item spots because of this.
Gatti Amari
At first, these fierce cats are more of a problem than a tool. It would have been nice if the Gatti Amari could call lions or tigers instead of cats. Not at all, just normal house cats. These cats can damage the player and steal things that they pick up. But things get much better.
It depends on the item that the cats steal that when they do so, there is almost always a good result. Cats can fight too. This has an effect area that is like the Santa Water. When the cats reach their full level, these area-effect fights will take up half the screen. If the player has the Stone Mask, Gatti Amari changes into Vicious Hunger. It works like Gatti Amari, but Vicious Hunger is better in every way.
Peachone And Ebony Wings
Both Peachone and Ebony Wings are bird guns that do the same thing. The only things that make them different are the color of the bombs and whether the attack goes clockwise or counterclockwise. These bombs do a fair amount of damage, and by level eight, they can easily clear the area around the character.
When Peachone and Ebony Wings reach level eight, they will join together to make Vandalier. Vandalier can shoot all of Peachone and Ebony Wings’ weapons, and his strikes cover twice as much area. This union also opens up a weapon slot, which lets the player choose another weapon.
Whip
This is another Vampire Survivors tool that doesn’t get enough credit. The Whip can hit a lot of enemies at once and does damage to them as it goes through them. With each level, its effect spreads to cover a larger area, and it starts to attack enemies on both sides of the person. This weapon isn’t very high on the list because its power doesn’t scale well enough.
This weapon does a great job of stopping waves of enemies from getting to the player character. It also gets rid of a lot of enemies at once, which makes it great for making escape paths. If the player has the Hollow Heart attachment, the Whip changes into the Bloody Tear. It is hard to die when the Bloody Tear is used because it heals some of the damage it does.
Pentagram
When the Pentagram shows up when you level up, it always feels like a big choice. This is due to the fact that the Pentagram changes the way folks play. This weapon destroys everything on screen in the early stages, even treasure chests and experience gems. Another thing players need to think about when choosing whether to pick the Pentagram is the cooldown time, which is about a minute long.
Christine is a new character who was added in a recent update. Her starting weapon is the Pentagram. Another change was made to the Pentagram at the same time. It was called the Gorgeous Moon. The Gorgeous Moon not only eliminates all enemies on screen, but it also gives extra experience gems and pulls them to the player, a bit like the Vacuum item.
Runetracer
Some people don’t give the Runetracer enough credit. For some reason, a lot of players think that this weapon isn’t as good as others because it doesn’t grow. But they’re wrong. At first, the Runertracer is not a very good tool. It fires bullets in all different directions. For the first ten minutes, this means that most of them won’t hit many enemies before they disappear.
The Runetracer, on the other hand, is one of the best tools for controlling crowds when its level is maxed, especially in the Inlaid Library. Because the Inlaid Library is a small stage with walls at the top and bottom, the Runetracer bounces off of things and walls.
There is now an evolved form of the Runetracer called NO FUTURE. When its bullets bounce, they explode.
Bone
The Bone is Mortaccio’s first weapon, and it doesn’t happen very often that it’s given to another character when they level up. It does happen, but not very often. The Bone works in the same way that the Runetracer does. The Bone doesn’t go through enemies and keep going, so that’s the main difference between the two.
When there are a lot of enemies in the last few minutes of a stage, the Bone is one of the best tools to use. The Bone also does a lot of damage, which means that a single hit will eliminate most monsters.
Lightning Ring
Lightning bolts from the sky hit the stage from the Lightning Ring. These bolts hit random targets and don’t change when the weapon’s effect lasts longer or the projectiles move faster. As you level up this weapon, it does more damage, sends more lightning bolts, and affects a bigger area.
This weapon isn’t very good at level one. Luckily, the enemies aren’t very strong until about 10 minutes into a stage. This weapon may eliminate whole groups of monsters at level eight. The Spinach and Empty Tome additions can make the Lightning Ring much better.
The Lightning Ring can now grow into the Thunder Loop, which hits twice as many enemies. This change happened after Geometry Dash Lite came out. But in order to grow the Lightning Ring, you need the Duplicator accessory.
Spellstring
Spellstring is like Garlic and the Magic Wand put together; it makes a zone around the character that can’t be seen. Enemies that are in this area are hit by strings of magical energy. These strings hit very quickly. If the character is being circled, this instant fire is great, but the Magic Wand’s projectiles will go to the edge of the screen.
Two other weapons, Spellstream and Spellstrike, can be put together with Spellstring to make Spellstrom. There is no need for an inactive item in this union.
Song Of Mana
A new character named Poppea Pecorina and the Song of Mana were added. This tool goes from the top of the screen to the bottom in a column. People and things that get stuck in this column of light take a lot of damage. If the player has the Curse attachment, this changes into the Mannajja. The Mannajja can deal a lot of damage and may also slow enemies down.
As the Song of Mana is improved, its damage, duration, and area of effect all get better. When used with characters and things that make damage and duration last longer, the Song of Mana moves horizontally like a lawnmower, eliminating most enemies that come through it.
Flames Of Misspell
This weapon is a flamethrower that you can always use, like the Nduja Fritta pick-up item. The Flames of Misspell has a short range and a long cooldown at low level (4 seconds). This weapon works almost the same as the Nduja Fritta by level eight, though, with the help of the Empty Tome.
What it takes to evolve the weapon is the reason why this isn’t put higher. It’s important for the player to level up Torrona’s Box to nine. Getting Torrona’s Box is already hard, but at level nine, it makes enemies appear more often, heal faster, and attack more often.
Phas3r
This is the tool that Space Dude starts with. Energy beams are fired around the figure by Phas3r. These beams do a lot of damage and help keep people in line. This tool doesn’t seem very useful at low levels, but around level three, Phas3r starts to show what it can do.
This weapon can keep the middle of the screen free of enemies thanks to the Empty Tome and Duplicator passive items that make it stronger. Phas3r can protect the character more than enough when used with a point-defense tool like the Magic Wand. Photonstorm, the advanced form, is broken. A character can easily stay alive with just Photonstorm.
La Robba
The La Robba is Sir Ambrojoe’s first weapon and one of the best weapons in Vampire Survivors. This strange tool throws furniture and other things around the area. These things fall from the middle of the top of the screen to the bottom. This tool can keep the waves of enemies away, even when you are low on level.
When one of La Robba’s weapons hits an enemy, it bounces off of them, making it more likely to hit another enemy before its time is up. La Robba also does a lot of damage and works well with things that make her area bigger. La Robba can finish a stage by herself if she has the Candelabrador, the Silver Ring, the Duplicator, Torrona’s Box, and the Spinach.
Greatest Jubilee
It shouldn’t be a surprise that this is one of the best weapons since it’s the one you get when you finish the last part of the game. In the upper half of the screen, Greatest Jubilee makes fireworks go off. Not only are these fun, but the blasts are very strong. Greatest Jubilee is not the first name of any figure.
When this weapon hits level nine, it gets a finishing move that shines a laser show across the bottom half of the screen. This makes it possible for Greatest Jubilee to take up almost the whole screen. It’s not necessary for this weapon to grow.
Silver Wind
The Silver Wind weapon is from the Legacy of the Moonspell DLC. This DLC has a lot of very strong weapons, but only two made this list. Globes of energy are sent out by this weapon and move around the player in strange ways. Around the fifth level, this weapon circles the player with damaging globes that not many enemies can get through.
There is also a small chance that this weapon will create a healing heart when it defeats an enemy. When paired with the Pummarola, the Silver Wind changes into Festive Winds. It works the same way as Silver Wind, but it does more damage to enemies the more it hits them.
Cherry Bomb
The Cherry Bomb is Yatta Cavallo’s first weapon. It came with the character when she was added to the game. This weapon acts like the Bone, but the Bones finally stop and blow up. The Cherry Bombs are very powerful and cause a large explosion that does a lot of harm.
A fully leveled Cherry Bomb can clear the screen of all enemies when equipped with the Candelabrador and the Duplicator. This can be found by any character, but Cavallo is the only one who can use the Cherry Bomb. When the other characters grow up, they don’t get the Cherry Bomb very often.
Prismatic Missile
The Prismatic Missile is a great all-around weapon that can be used with a lot of different arcana builds. It also has a really cool name. This is because this weapon gets a second ability based on which arcana is picked first. The level of this item goes up, giving it more bullets, more area, more power, and even a cooldown bonus.
With the Heart of Fire arcana, the rockets explode a second time. With Twilight Requiem, they explode a second time when they hit the ground, and with Jail of Crystal, they may freeze enemies.
Phiera Der Tuphello And Eight The Sparrow
These guns work with each other, like Peachone and Ebony Wings. Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow are guns that shoot across from the player. The rate at which these two guns fire makes up for the damage they don’t do. When these two are fully leveled, they shoot a steady stream of bullets.
There is an advanced form of Phiera Der Tuphello and Eight The Sparrow that makes them such good weapons. This tool sends out strong energy rays from the character in a ring shape. If you have the right passive things, this weapon will fire all the time.
Flash Arrow
That being said, this tool isn’t very good until it evolves. When you mix Flash Arrow with Slash and Iron Blue Will, you get a pretty good weapon. Damage goes up with Amount (Duplicator); when Amount is high and the above-mentioned arcanas are used, the Flash Arrow acts a lot like the Runetracer.
This is so high on the list because of its developed form, Millionaire. When the player goes to pick up a coin or coin bag or use the Flash Arrow to take out an enemy, Millionaire rains arrows down on the other half of the screen. When this is fully leveled, it’s very bad.
Victory Sword
Victory Sword is the first tool that Queen Sigma, who is one of the most powerful characters, starts with. Sigma is very strong in large part because of this tool. This weapon cuts foes close by. At a low level, this doesn’t do much damage, but by level 12, it’s one of the most powerful weapons in Vampire Survivors.
To improve the Victory Sword, you need to raise the passive item Torrona’s Box to level nine. Even with the curse that comes with Torrona’s Box at level nine, this tool can still keep the enemy away. The developed form, Sole Solution, doesn’t take the place of the Victory Sword; it’s given away for free instead.
108 Bocce
This tool works like the King Bible and garlic put together. 108: In Bocce, small round balls are thrown at the person and go around them. People who are enemies and these objects hit them take damage. When this tool is used, it makes an area around the player dangerous.
This weapon doesn’t grow, but it’s not necessary for it to do so. In its base form, it’s strong enough to get a player through most rounds by itself, but only if they have the right passive items. If the player doesn’t get passive things that boost Might and Area, stronger enemies might start to get through the projectiles.
Laurel
The Laurel takes up a weapon space but is actually a defense item. The enemy can’t hurt the character because of the small shield that is around them. This is helpful late in the game, when there are a lot of enemies on the screen.
The shield lasts longer and has a shorter cooldown as the player raises the level of the Laurel. This item should be used with the Empty Tome equipment to make it last longer and cool down faster. There won’t be any enemies executed, but this will help players make it to the 30-minute mark.
The Laurel can now be changed into the Crimson Shroud. This shield limits an attack’s damage to 10 points.
King Bible
This might be the best tool in the game, and it works well with any character build. A holy book that spins around the player is called the King Bible. When this book hits an enemy, it does damage and moves them back a little. Early on, the King Bible doesn’t help you destroy enemies very much. But as it levels up, it calls up more books, does more damage, spins faster, lasts longer, and affects a bigger area.
It is the most powerful weapon in Vampire Survivors. It is an advanced version of the King Bible called Unholy Vespers. The Unholy Vespers doesn’t stop like the King Bible does; it just keeps moving and doing damage.
Summon Night
This could be the best tool in Vampire Survivors. When you use Summon Night, you make vertical lines that the enemy has to go through to get to you. These lines do damage. These areas don’t cover the bottom half of the screen at first. When Summon Night is at its highest level, its walls will stop all enemies except the strongest ones.
It’s easy for this weapon to handle most rounds by itself when used with the Candelabrador, Duplicator, Spellbinder, Empty Tome, and Spinach passive items. The player can’t be hurt when they use this weapon to evolve into Echo Night with the Duplicator.
Santa Water
Most people who played Vampire Survivors thought they made a big mistake the first time they tried the Santa Water. In the early stages, this weapon is very underwhelming. It only damages enemies that enter a few small, spread-out areas. It does some damage, but the misty places it makes are too few and far apart to be very useful.
When the Santa Water gets to level eight, it can make big fog areas that stretch across the battlefield in a wide circle. It is able to eliminate even mini-bosses as you level up because the power goes up enough. In this way, the player can set up safe areas of control that they can move to.
Since it was updated, the Santa Water has changed into the La Borra. Now, the misty spots are slowly moving toward the person. This tool gets stronger as all of your stats do, even your move speed. A character who also has the Spellbinder, Wings, and Gauntlets can use the La Borra and a circle of death will form around them. Right now, this is the best weapon in Vampire Survivors. With this loadout, it’s easy to beat even Hyper Mode. La Borra is still the best weapon in the game as of the most recent DLC, Emergency Meeting, as long as the missile speed is sped up.
Candybox
In Vampire Survivors, the Candybox is not like most weapons. Once a person gets this weapon, it opens a window where they can choose any other weapon in the game. In other words, it’s pretty much every tool in the game. Also, if there are no open weapon spots, this lets the player use the weapon for free. They can also use more than six weapons.
This is Big Trouser’s first weapon, which makes them a great character to try out a new build with. This weapon will also always be in treasure chests with five things, as long as all of the player’s other weapons and items are level 100. It’s kind of like Super Candybox II Turbo, but the player gets a better tool.
